Do Not Sell or Share My Information
Effective date: June 4, 2026
This page explains how Effortless Apply handles opt-out requests for sale or sharing of personal information under California privacy law and similar state privacy laws.
1. Our Current Practice
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do share personal information with employers, applicant tracking systems, job boards, AI providers, payment processors, infrastructure providers, email providers, and other service providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Application Sharing Is Part of the Service
When you ask us to apply to a job, the Service must transmit your application information to employers and third-party application platforms. That can include your resume, contact details, work history, education, application answers, work authorization, voluntary EEO responses, and other required fields. You cannot opt out of that application-specific sharing while still asking us to submit applications. You can stop future application submissions by pausing or discontinuing the Service.
3. Submit an Opt-Out Request
If you still want to submit a sale/share opt-out request, email support@effortlessapply.ai with:
- Your Effortless Apply account email, if you have an account.
- A clear statement that you want to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information.
- Whether you are submitting the request for yourself or as an authorized agent.
4. What Happens Next
If we identify any activity that qualifies as sale or sharing under applicable law, we will stop it for your account or browser context where required. Because we do not currently use behavioral advertising sharing, most requests will be recorded as a rights request rather than changing application delivery.
We may ask for limited information needed to identify the account or browser context connected to your request. We will use that information only to process the request.
5. Global Privacy Control
Some laws require covered businesses to honor valid browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, when a business sells or shares personal information. We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this page and honor applicable opt-out preference signals as required by law.
6. Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. However, some requests can limit or prevent us from providing features that require the requested data, such as submitting job applications or maintaining a connected email account.
